Direct Burial Poles

USS Manufacturing has been supplying poles for direct burial for some time now. Our process of protecting the aluminum poles from the elements has been extremely successful, considering the climatic changes some of our customers face are from sub-zero to tropical temperatures, over the course of a year.

Hand Holes

All our poles come with one or two hand holes, available in two styles. A popular style has a collar inset so that the cover, usually made of cast aluminum with the utility's name or logo embossed, flush mounts with two safety screws. This style has a ground lug just inside the hand hole. Another style is an extruded hand hole that has a thin aluminum cover with a back plate and long standard screw, used to secure the cover in place.
